Last Year's Halloween

Botanic Garden Halloween Train Exhibit with the Cousins

Emmett has found a love for trains in the last month or so.. He talks about choo choo's all day long and can hear them from miles away. We'll be outside playing and he'll get excited when he hears the metra by our house go by. He's also getting into airplanes too. He had so much fun with all of his cousins at the train exhibit. His attention-span amazed me. He was really into looking at all of the different tracks with trains on them through out the exhibit. It's pretty exciting to see him show interest in something. Whatever he's into to, we will always support and encourage him. That's one of my top goals as a parent. Doing what you love is so important and having your parents to back you up is meaningful. Maybe he'll be a train conductor???

Wick o Wheat!

"Wick o Wheat!!!" That's how my boy says, "trick or treat!." This Halloween was so much fun especially because E is starting to put together how this holiday works. Ghosts say BOO, spiders have webs, kids dress up and if you say wick o wheat at someone's front door, you can get candy. Most of his candy went to me of course! :)
