Getting into the spirit of Christmas!

Emmett met Santa!!! We went to 4-5 stores before finding a Christmas outfit for him at Northbrook Court. We ended up with a baby santa outfit from macy's. He LOVED looking at Santa and was my usual cool and mellow boy while sitting on his lap. So cute! We'll scan and post his pic with Santa soon.

Thanksgiving

Emmett had a wonderful Thanksgiving and was able to see both sets of his Grandparents. He was an angel the whole day and didn't even get in a second nap! What a champ! For dinner he had momma's homemade squash and green beans for his first time, which he hated as you can see in his photo. We are so grateful for our supportive and loving families. It's so great to see Emmett enjoy a holiday with his family. He brings a smile to everyone's face and really livens up a party.

Playtime

Emmett has been growing up so much! He is very mobile on the floor. If he sees something across the room, he strategizes and figures out a way to roll over there. He has many different kinds of rolls to navigate himself, it's amazing! He can sit up by himself for a little while, but he still falls over sometimes. He's almost there as a sitter! He can also say, "Da da" and "Da dee" although hasn't associated it with Eric yet. We are working on it. And I have been working really hard with "ma ma" too, but no luck. :)

He is very verbal and is very expressive with his hands. I think when he starts putting together words more, he is going to talk nonstop! He has been so much fun to be with. I love watching him during playtime. It never stops amazing me how his mind works and how he tries to figures out how toys function by trying out different things. And I love watching him watch his Baby Einstein dvds (which are a HUGE hit!). He really loves puppets and animals and his very favorite is the Christmas one. He LOVES Christmas already, it's great! Who wouldn't with all of the sparkle that comes along with lights and ornaments. He's definitely a fan!

Emmett was way more interested in looking at the other kids at the park than looking at the camera for mommy :)

Arlington Heights has wonderful parks for kids! This one is a cute little toddler park a couple of blocks away. Emmett met a little girl named Delaney at the park. She helped me push him in his swing... it was pretty adorable. And he couldn't take his eyes off of her!
