Double Digits!!! (baby style)

Little E is 10 months old! Not only is this little guy crawling like crazy, but he is going up stairs and has had a few seconds here and there when he has stood up on his own without any help. He just might be an early walker! Eric and I are so not prepared for walking! We are still getting used to him crawling all over the house! Plus, seeing him crawl is the cutest thing ever. My favorite part about his crawling is the squealing sound he makes as he is going.

I was thinking the other day how many nicknames me and Eric have had for Emmett since he was born and there have been so many! Here are some of them:
sweetpea, bubs, emmetto burrito, sweet bean, honey bear, hunny pie, cutie, e, lovie, chulupa and many many more. How in the world did we come up with some of those?

I am starting to plan Emmett's 1st birthday party. We are going to have it at the lakehouse and the theme is going to be curious george for emmett george! Eric and I are working on designing our own invitation and getting a head count, etc.. It's going to be so much fun. Can't wait to see Emmett eat his smash cake!

discoveries at the park

emmett was VERY stimulated today at the park. he felt sand for the first time and loved it! it took me a long time to get all of the sand cleaned off of his fingers. he also played on a little toddler bouncy thing at the park. this park is a very short walk and is perfect for little ones like E. soon enough it'll really be spring time and e will be meeting and playing with new friends at the park. this little weather tease has been so great for my little guy. he loves getting out of the house and getting some fresh air and today, he liked getting out and getting dirty!

Emmett at his 1st library class!

eric took emmett to a morning class with other kiddos at the library today. emmett pointed and talked to other babies, stole their toys and crawled all over the place. he's a social butterfly!
the library is a couple of blocks away from our house. we go there all of the time and it's become a favorite spot for emmett too.

backyard adventures!

to see emmett crawling around our backyard today almost made me pinch myself... i mean, he's really crawling now and he can like get around in OUR backyard. this is just crazy. i loved seeing him play with the grass, get excited when he found a stick and crawl across the lawn to me. my sweet baby boy is getting so big, i just can't believe it. i know i've said this so many times. but just when i think i can't possibly love this kid more.... i do.
